Electromechanical Engineer

Job Description We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Electromechanical Engineer at our Huntington, IN plant. This role is crucial for identifying and leading projects that continuously improve product/process robustness in the manufacturing of custom Low Voltage Transformers. If you have a passion for technical excellence and innovation, this position is perfect for you! What will you do in this position? • Primary liaison between the production lines and the Engineering staff. • Design custom Low Voltage Transformers to meet the expectations of incoming Field Orders. • Lead Quality Value Engineering (QVE) projects to improve cost, material/labor productivity and safety/ergonomics for both our production staff and the end customer. • Coordinate BOM/Drawing changes. • Maintain site PFMEA’s as a living document and lead projects to reduce critical RPN’s. • Continuously improve and maintain corresponding Schneider Performance System (SPS), ISO and UL processes/files. • Site lead for Transformer Testing Equipment within the plant. • Key player in new product development in support of the product growth team. • Collect and filter equipment issues and suggest corrective actions. • Make prototypes under R&D delegation. • Contribute to local product/process knowledge and technical problem-solving (manufacturing or customer). • Apply Corporate Performance Compliance and contribute to product robustness in the plant.
