Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Mechanically installs, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial equipment. At times, this will include working in tight or confined spaces while wearing respiratory protection. • Safely operates cranes, hoists, power tools, motorized equipment, and hand tools safely. • Documents daily activities in SAP PM module. • Performs work following specialized procedures in a radiological environment. • Identifies, repairs, and replaces faulty equipment through keen observation, troubleshooting, and analytical rationale. • Works closely with coworkers and the Planning Department to locate parts and schedule repairs as necessary. • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a technical field plus two (2) years of industrial experience OR a minimum of six (6) years of industrial experience is required. • Must have demonstrable skills and knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. • Must have a basic understanding of electrical (up to 480V, 3 Phase) and PLC systems. • Must have some knowledge of HVAC, Cryogenics, basic vacuum and leak detection and some knowledge of CMMS and its attributes. • Must possess proven ability in being a team player and self-starter with minimal supervision. • Must be willing to attend training and seminars. • Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualifications. • Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance. Preferred Qualifications: • A minimum of five (5) years of industrial experience is preferred. Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • Experience in maintenance with strong background in mechanical systems. • Skill in examining, evaluating, isolating faults, and repairing equipment. • Understanding of 3 phase electricity and components. • Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees effectively. Responsibilities and Duties: • Maintains and adheres to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. • Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment. • Maintain and organize shop areas to include tools and parts. • Assist in monitoring the organization, use, and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and review the operation of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. • Clean and maintain work area. • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain the plant’s equipment. • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as required. • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. • Perform electrical skills including, but not limited to, 480V 3 phase, industrial and residential electrical, and AC/DC electronic component troubleshooting and repair. • Read and interpret equipment manual, schematics, blueprints, and Work Orders to perform required maintenance and service. • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust as required. • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the Maintenance Manager. • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. • Meet the daily housekeeping requirements. • Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: • Mobility to move throughout facility grounds with exposure to heat, cold, sun, etc. • Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally. • Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls will be required. • Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required. • Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet.
