Summary: Our Design Engineer will create technical drawings in AutoCAD or Revit. Will communicate with clients and vendors to provide appropriate designs based on the requirements presented by the client within the scope of the project contract. Essential Functions: • Draw base floor plans as needed. • Set up drawing sheets for projects. • Create technical drawings of PME/FA designs. • Adhere to drafting standards for consistent documents. • Make corrections based on red-lined drawings. • Communicate with clients and vendors. • Perform site visits to document existing conditions. • Perform heat loss, heat gain, and ventilation calculations. • Perform electrical calculations, complete panel schedules NEC demand summaries. • Provide designs for plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm. • Other tasks as assigned. Required Skills and experience: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) from ABET-accredited university. • 1-3 years of experience in engineering design • Proficient in AutoCAD LT. Proficient in Revit if hired for BIM drafting. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Communicate with internal and external customers. • Basic knowledge of building codes and National Electrical Code • Ability to do photometric plans through Visual 3D or other software.
