POSITION INFO: POSITION TITLE: Process Engineer DEPARTMENT/CATEGORY: Engineering JOB TYPE: Salary Level 3 REPORTS TO: Plant Engineering Manager LOCATION: Stuarts Draft, Virginia This position is located within the Stuarts Draft, VA Engineering Group and reports to the Plant Engineering Manager. It is primarily responsible for assisting implementation of the new products, automation systems, and process improvements. This individual will support program team members and customers and ensure that goals and objectives are met through effective involvement, contribution and coordination. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identify problems and propose solutions by collecting empirical data and gathering knowledge from others. • Maintain technical integrity of the product by sound applications of engineering/mechanical design, principles, creation of engineering / design specifications, and material selection. • Manages the release of products from Pilot to Production phase • Organize design reviews with the satellite locations, plant SQA. • Openly communicate project status and issues. EXPERIENCE: • 3-5 years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred • Tool room interface experience • Corporate engineering interface experience • New product introduction EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree. TRAINING AND SKILLS: • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. • Ability to utilize mathematical concepts (statistics, solid geometry, trigonometry, fractions, proportions, etc.) • to solve problems • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general engineering drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. • Proficiency in the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and autocad. • Understanding of electrical automation control systems NIBCO is committed to equal opportunity employment. Engineering Technician

Position Summary We are seeking hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Technicians with a strong background in automation and grinding processes to support a high-volume, integrated manufacturing cell that includes 24/7 operations within a cleanroom environment. This role is critical to maintaining uptime, improving process efficiency, and supporting operator effectiveness in a dynamic custom manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair automated and semi-automated equipment within high-volume manufacturing cells, including systems located in the cleanroom, to ensure maximum uptime and minimal disruption. • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Support continuous improvement initiatives, working with engineers and operators to optimize cycle time, improve equipment reliability, and enhance product quality. • Train operators and maintenance personnel on proper equipment usage, minor troubleshooting, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and safety. • Monitor and document equipment performance, making data-driven recommendations to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime. • Assist with the installation, startup, and validation of new or modified custom automation systems, including those within the cleanroom environment. • Provide technical support for grinding operations, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of CNC or manual grinding machines. • Adhere to cleanroom protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards during maintenance and troubleshooting activities. • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams to support production goals and resolve manufacturing issues. Qualifications • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an automated manufacturing environment, preferably with custom-built or integrated automation systems. • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems, sensors, actuators, and HMI interfaces. • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques. • Experience with grinding processes (manual or CNC) strongly preferred. • ISO 13485 / medical device experience • Previous experience working in or supporting cleanroom manufacturing operations is highly desirable. • Proficient with hand tools, measurement instruments, and diagnostic tools. • Strong communication skills with the ability to train others and work independently or as part of a team. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. • Willingness to work flexible hours or support off-shifts as needed during troubleshooting or equipment launch phases.
