Job Summary: To investigate malfunctions, determine causes, and repair equipment, building, grounds, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical services in order to maintain the scheduled flow of production and a suitable working environment. Investigates, diagnoses and corrects malfunctions occurring in equipment, building and grounds, pneumatic hydraulic, electrical and mechanical services systems with minimal supervisory assistance. Assembles and installs manufacturing equipment, pumps, compressors and related hydraulic and pneumatic systems, controls and lines, brings such equipment and systems to proper and sound working condition. Investigates and diagnoses malfunctions. Repairs or determines and advises appropriate supervisor on proper corrective measures to be taken. Fabricates less complex manufacturing equipment. Performs general and miscellaneous equipment and building construction duties such as general carpentry, cement finishing, pipe fitting, and block laying. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assemble, and installs electrical conduit. Pulls wiring through conduit. Splices wire together according to electrical code. Service and maintain low and medium voltage switchgear. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control equipment such as motors, variable speed drives, temperature controls, proximity sensors, photoelectric devices, pressure switches, and programmable logic controllers. Provide electro/mechanical planning and support as required for all projects within the plant. Conduct all assigned preventative maintenance Performs other duties as assigned. Completes annual updates of OSHA required training as assigned by supervisor. Reports all safety malfunctions, near hits, and/or injuries to supervisor immediately.
