Manufacturing Engineer

This position supervises maintenance technicians, outside contractors, and additional resources on a project basis Supervisory Duties: Maintenance Technician task assignments. Initiate product & process design changes. To design, build and or acquire plant equipment, jigs, and fixtures. To identify, justify and implement material and process cost improvements. To work with corporate safety dept. personnel to monitor, maintain and provide training for safety programs at the local plant Education: bachelor's Degree (or higher degree): Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required, and at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment Job Duties: Participate in product design and evaluation. Product/process cost reduction. Product/process documentation. Prepare and debug turret and press brake programs. Project recommendations. Provide technical training, support, and direction to manufacturing supervisors and personnel Lead projects to analyze process rejects, scrap, cycle time, etc.; identify & implement corrective actions. Participate in RGA analysis and corrective actions To operate within established practices and procedures. Cooperate with other departments relative to accomplishing company goals. Contribute relevant technical knowledge to Engineering, Manufacturing, and quality staff. Be familiar with the proper operation of factory equipment. Be familiar with the proper execution of industry-standard tests, industry specifications, and safety standards. Howard Industries offers excellent pay and benefits.
