Experience required: 4 Years Education level: Associate degree Job function: Manufacturing Industry: Consumer Goods Compensation: $71,000-$80,000 Total position: 1 Relocation assistance: No If candidate are in the same state or WI they will consider interviewing them but no them o relo Job Description HStandard Work Hours: • 1st Shift M-Th 5am-3pm Responsibilities • Design minor electrical circuits and to test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment. • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits. • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints. • Must have knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems. • Must perform basic mechanical repairs. • Must be able to perform the work of the lower-class identifications. • May direct the work of others in the lower classifications. • Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures. • Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement. • Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions. • Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit. • Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications. • Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments. • Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader. Qualifications • Two-year Associate degree and 2-4 years' work experience required. • Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS. SOL Engineering Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer, licensed (PE), to join our team at FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in support of the Public Assistance (PA) Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with significant experience in assessing and addressing damage to mechanical systems and infrastructure caused by disasters. The role will primarily focus on providing technical expertise and support to FEMA's PA Program, specifically in the repair, replacement, and improvement of mechanical systems in disaster-affected facilities. IMPORTANT NOTE: Public Assistance (PA) Experience is in high demand for deployment considerations and is required by FEMA. Experience must be 1 or more years of deployment regional, state or local level. Here’s What You’ll Need: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. • A Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on building systems and infrastructure. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), required. • Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to pass an FBI background check. • Strong understanding of FEMA regulations, policies, and guidelines related to Public Assistance programs (e.g., PA Handbook, Stafford Act). • Must have a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. • Must have a current valid driver's license. • Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours, commit to a minimum 90-day assignment in remote locations and disaster conditions. • Ability to work well across multiple teams and meet critical deadlines. • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of times on varying terrain. • Flexibility to work in different locations as needed by FEMA. • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. • Computer Proficiency–in this role you must be competent and fully proficient at operating a computer, finding files, editing documents in adobe and word, working with Excel spreadsheets, ability to effectively interface with applications in web browsers, working knowledge of saving, renaming, editing, organizing files and moving between iPhone and PC seamlessly.
