Mechanical General Superintendent - Solar

Summary The Mechanical General Superintendent provides comprehensive on-site management of multiple solar project sites, ensuring all projects are executed in accordance with the overall design, budget, and schedule. This role involves high-level oversight and coordination across various construction activities and project stakeholders. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Oversee the mechanical construction efforts across multiple project sites to ensure adherence to design, budget, and schedule, including interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, and other contractors. • Identify changes to project execution plan and immediately determine appropriate path forward. • Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions across projects, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and the direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc. • Supervise craft employees and other contractors across multiple sites. • Authorize and approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc., as needed. • Provide high-level technical assistance, such as interpretation of drawings, recommendation of construction methods, and selection of equipment, as required. • Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, and safety programs across all sites. • Ensure compliance with all project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules across all projects. Document violations, notify project management, and implement corrective actions as required. • Assume responsibility for the productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project. • Perform additional duties as directed by senior management. Supervisory Responsibilities • Directly manage multiple subordinate supervisors, each responsible for various field operations across project sites. • Indirectly oversee a broader range of team members engaged in field operations. Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience with self-performing mechanical solar construction activities such as driven pile installation and mechanical racking system installation. • Travel frequently between project sites out of town and out of state. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and teams. Education And Experience • Minimum of twenty years of craft supervision experience across solar construction projects. • Experienced in the mechanical construction of solar facilities from start to finish. Such as; Project setup, mobilization, SWPP Installation, mechanical, commissioning and testing. • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction including technology, equipment, methods; craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules, and safety. Candidates that accept an offer of employment are required to undergo and successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. This exam is essential to ensure that all potential employees meet the necessary health and fitness standards for the role. The examination includes a series of tests and evaluations conducted by a certified medical professional to assess overall physical health, identify any potential medical conditions that could interfere with job performance, and verify that the candidate is capable of safely performing the essential duties of the position. Completion and clearance of this physical are mandatory steps in the hiring process.

Overview: Job Title: Mechanical Installation Technician I Department: Field Services Reports to: Field Services Manger Location: Remote Summary: S&H Systems is a single-source, full-service systems integration company delivering dependable material handling systems, software, and post-sale support since 2002. The field services department is responsible for the installation of all integrated systems at our client sites across the country. We are seeking qualified candidates to assemble, install, dismantle, move, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems. Successful candidates will have experience reading blueprints and schematics as well as troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance. Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements. • Perform routine work within technical area. • Install, dismantle, move, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. • Utilize hand tools, levels, tape measures, etc. • Practice proper used of all company owned devices, email, computers, and web-based meetings. • Operate hammer drill and anchor equipment. • Helps other Mechanical Technicians and other trades as assigned. • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Physical Requirements: • Able to perform in a physically demanding work environment. • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Travel Requirement: • Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend up to 75% of the time traveling to client project sites. • Some travel on the weekends. • Must be willing to be on call and willing to work weekends and off shifts while at installation sites. Overview: A Mechanical Technician 2 is primarily responsible for assisting other Mechanical Techs and other trades as assigned. 1 – 3 years MHE or related field experience required for this position.
