Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer for our Butler, WI location. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to collaborate with the manufacturing and project teams to oversee new implementations and optimize existing manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for developing and implementing standardized work and operational controls for secondary and assembly operations, thus requires collaboration with automation partners to develop and deploy robotics and vision systems. The Manufacturing Engineer, reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, requires a technical education in an Engineering discipline, such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Engineer is a member of the manufacturing team and voice for the manufacturing process; providing hand-on support to analyze, plan and gain maximum efficiency and utilization of human, material, machine, and facility resources for the individual value streams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Collaborating with the manufacturing and project team members is critical to achieve success of new product introductions and optimization of existing manufacturing processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded as management determines necessary. New Introductions (NPI): Serve as a cross functional member of the New Product Introduction team, with a role to optimize the manufacturing process and ensure the Bill of Manufacture captures the qualified process. Manufacturing cells within agreed upon quality and operational control standards. Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to support the company's, productivity, growth, and new product introduction plans. Perform "use cases" then "prove out" new manufacturing processes to include automation, tooling, fixtures, and packaging methods. Support new program transfers to other manufacturing locations. Sustaining Manufacturing (SQDC): As requested, assist in the investigation and action to ensure safe methods and equipment. Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Provide engineering support in manufacturing department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, through root cause analysis and implementation of effective countermeasures. Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements and product changes and follow up with the ECO workflow documentations. Coordinate technical training programs to maintain and troubleshoot unique equipment, robotics, and automation. Assist maintenance staff in the development of periodic maintenance instructions and tasks (i.e. electrical, mechanical, spare parts, and safety buyoffs), to support unique equipment and automation. Work closely with production and production support staff to develop, coordinate, and implement training for standardized work of operators. Maintain cell layouts using CAD; workflow, and layouts for equipment and workspace to maximize efficiencies. Continual Improvement (CI): Lead teams to eliminate waste within manufacturing process using tools such as Kanban, Quick Changeover, VSM, Kaizen, and 5S and other Lean methods. Evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes with emphasis on process controls, standardized work, and standard cost improvement. Lead and assist production in quality and process related topics and issues. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, for cell design which maximizes use of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Lead or support new automation projects for the other manufacturing locations. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES): Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering and 5 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing engineering experience within a molding and assembly environment a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to professional present information to top management, and internal and external customers. Proficient with navigating CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems. Mechanic B, Maintenance

Overview:A MECHANIC assists with the maintenance of the plant's equipment, including preventive maintenance, along with a variety of other duties as assigned by the lead person, supervisor, or manager. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED • Computer literate to the completing of daily work within a CMMS system. • Industrial maintenance experience preferred • Strong knowledge of basic industrial mechanical systems, electricity and utilities • Ability to diagnose industrial mechanical systems, equipment and utilities problems • Strong knowledge of shop equipment set up and operation • Strong TIG or stick welding experience • Attend required vendor training as needed RATE OF PAY: Hourly rate TBD (depending on experience and placement test results) Position has the opportunity to receive step increases through Boar's Head established training programs.
