Mobile Maintenance Technician

Job Description "> At Ryder, we are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position that requires the individual to support our truck fleet in Springfield, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines. This role involves interacting with customers, facilitating preventative maintenance, and repairing vehicles to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. • Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems. • Conduct diagnostic tests and repair or replace faulty components as needed. • Ensure all work is done in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines. Required Skills & Qualifications "> • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in a related field is preferred. • Two years or more experience in mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment. • Must have basic hand tools and be able to take home an assigned mobile service truck (if applicable). • Ability to pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, Ryder background check, and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
