Mechanical Design Engineer Grenada, MS(Day One Onsite) Job Summary: Senior engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC system with new refrigerant and qualifying the same according to applicable regulations for US market. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with offshore engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution. Redesign air conditioning units for new refrigerant for US market. Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including thermal and structural simulations, to validate design changes. Lead NPI/NPD reviews and secure all necessary approvals on the project Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred (Thermal/HVAC). Preference will be given to candidates with ASHRAE certification Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the HVAC industry. Proven experience in coordinating with offshore teams and managing complex engineering projects. Strong knowledge of US standards and regulations for HVAC systems. Position Description Perform PM (Preventive Maintenance) on all equipment according to instructions provided with work order (MTO) and directions from group leader. Repair equipment by cleaning, replacing defective parts, motors, etc. per work order. Installs, test and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic tools, and electrical equipment and fixtures per work order. Performs repairs on equipment such as pumps, punch presses, press brakes, fin presses, turret presses, rivet guns, etc. Key Responsibilities • Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and property protection policies • Ability to dismantle, repair, install all types of manufacturing equipment • Ability to operate Band Saws, Lathes, Drill Press, and Welders • Evaluate and recommend improvements and/or repair methods for equipment • Ability to function in a team orientated work place • Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings • Perform repairs on electronically controlled equipment, gauges, hoists, etc. Required Education & Qualifications • AAS in related field a plus • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance role • Proficient in mathematics • Very good mechanical aptitude • Knowledge of PLC's and troubleshooting • Knowledge of Fin Press operation a plus • Basic Industrial Electrical knowledge • Minimal travel involved, but may be required. • This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as necessary Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
