As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer, you will maintain the physical functionality of the facility including our guest rooms, public space, heart-of-the-house areas and housing facility. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Responsibilities Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry. Inspect guestrooms, public space, back-of-the-house, and heart-of-the-house for areas to repair, touch up or replace. Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items. Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program. Makes records of repairs made, reports completed repairs, or places areas needing further attention or a room 'out of order. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on housing facilities. Qualifications: Experienced in maintenance tasks and other trade skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting). The individual will be responsible for the following: • Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications; • Review of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites; • Documentation of field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications; • Daily use of Metafield, and/or other field and laboratory information management systems, for recording of testing results; • Communication of field and laboratory testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clients; • Calibration of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.
