The position provides a chance for students to gain valuable work experience at a chemical production facility in a part-time capacity. They will be mentored by experienced engineers on assignments ranging from small capital projects to day-to-day activities. Students can also interact with various functions on site. Assignments may include: • Field verifications • Design calculations • Construction verifications • Line and equipment labeling • Block flow diagrams and P&ID mark-ups • Daily production engineering support • Equipment and systems analysis and investigations Engineering interns must ensure their own safety and the safety of others at all times. They must adhere to EH&S regulations, participate in safety audits and incident investigations, and complete required safety training. Requirements include: • A degree program in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering • At least one year of a degree-granting college or university completed (rising juniors or seniors preferred) • Must be 18 years or older and an active undergraduate/graduate • GPA of 3.0 or higher • Eligible for work within the US • Completion of pre-employment screening requirements
