Duties and Responsibilities • Improve existing process capabilities to: • Create routings for new products • Specify new equipment and/or processes • Evaluate for relativity, approve and track Change Requests as it pertains to manufacturing. • Support and assist the dynamic needs of manufacturing through the use of continuous improvements/kaizen methodology. • Responsible for routing, coordination, monitoring of issues and corrections of all samples and prototypes run in manufacturing. Liaison between Design Engineering and Sales concerning sample and prototype builds. • Identify equipment and/or process improvements and justify changes by conducting return on investment (ROI) analysis. Once approved, specify and procure the necessary equipment and work closely with Manufacturing to implement. • Develop production processes for new products. • Assist with all aspects of product transfers between plants including but not limited to checklists, communication, tooling, and stock inventories. • Update, and review Production Engineering standard work. • Create audits and monitor as necessary to ensure conformance to processes and standards (SuperUser).
