Position Overview (Summary/Objective): As part of our Danbury Operations team, the Manufacturing Technician II will have an exciting opportunity to utilize their mechanical aptitude and assembly skills within a manufacturing production facility. Working with high precision glass, mechanical and electrical products, this individual will have the opportunity to work hands-on within a growing and evolving environment. Responsibilities: • Mechanical and assembly processes by reading blueprints and working hands-on from assembly drawings. • Following standard work instructions to assemble components for assigned programs including optical or electro-optical components as well as circuit card assemblies. • Work with micrometers, calipers, multi meters, and other measuring tools. • Cross-training within the department to learn other skills and work processes. • Assisting in maintaining productivity and efficiency, while meeting scheduled delivery dates and consistently upholding compliance. • Reading and understanding Material Safety Data Sheets in handling hazardous chemicals. • Multitasking on various production assemblies and repairs. • Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawing or sketches. • Identify and effectively troubleshoot minor process, material, designs, or equipment. • Precision Cleaning, Branson Ultrasonic Cleaner, Laser Particle Counter.
