HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry Opportunities are available in these preferred locations: Atlanta, Austin, Bellevue, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Pennington, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Sacramento/Folsom, San Antonio, Walnut Creek. This person will be part of an integrated team responsible for the mechanical design in support of Data Center and other Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger mechanical engineers. The Data Center Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing projects from start to finish. This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members. They will be responsible for developing feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent design solutions for our clients. Additional responsibilities include: In the role of Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to: • Coordinate the work of the mechanical design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance • Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule • Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines • Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines • Write and edit mechanical specifications, selects equipment, mechanical systems and devices • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents • Provide construction contract administration as needed • Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators or Mechanical CAD Technicians as needed • Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis • A minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings • Data Center/Mission Critical facilities design experience • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering • Previous experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license • Experience in commercial or institutional facilities • Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. Mechanical Systems Mechanic II

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Supervisor Maintenance and Construction, performs a variety of maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of machinery, mechanical equipment and systems, and when assigned to shifts, responds and takes action on all skilled trade calls. Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers, and mechanics of other skilled trades. Qualifications Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge required. Three (3) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of mechanical systems/equipment in an industrial, education and/or healthcare setting. Sound knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading is required, as is thorough knowledge of all applicable (local, state and national) codes. Ability to perform all skilled trades repairs including mechanical equipment/systems, HVAC/R electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems. New Jersey Black Seal Engineer’s License is preferred.
