We are a community About The Role We are seeking qualified, confident, and collaborative Entry-Level Engineers to join our HVAC and Plumbing & Fire Protection departments in our New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your engineering career with a firm known for innovation, mentorship, and technical excellence. As an Engineer at JB&B, you'll work on a wide variety of projects-ranging in size, complexity, and duration-across multiple sectors. You'll collaborate with senior engineers and partners, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful client solutions. Key Responsibilities • Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects • Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans • Assist in planning and coordination of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers • Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision • Design HVAC systems including distribution, recirculation, and exhaust • Design plumbing systems including water, gas, and waste distribution • Work on facility utilities such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and condensate • Lay out sprinkler systems and perform basic calculations for pipe sizing, design densities, and pump horsepower Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (by Summer 2026) • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment • Interest in building systems, sustainability, and innovative design What We Offer Our employees are our greatest strength. Supervisor of Mechanical Installation and Maintenance

• NYC HOUSING AUTHORITY Posted On: 09/17/2025 • Full-Time Location NYC-ALL BOROS • Exam May Be Required Department Heating Mgmt & Svcs Dept Salary Range: $66,330.00 – $99,528.00 Job Description 1. Has overall responsibility for establishing and maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all heat generating systems and associated equipment in assigned neighborhood. 2. Use Building Management Systems to monitor and manage all Building Management Systems-enabled heating plants. At least twice a week, logs-in to Building Management Systems and review all heating plants within their neighborhood to ensure: a. Automatic settings are maintained b. Building Management Systems online status 3. Supervise heating frontline staff within their respective neighborhood. Ensure all heating staff under their supervision attend all required training. 4. Ensure coverage for any heating frontline staff absences. 5. Provide the After-Hours Heat Desk with a list of names and telephone numbers of staff available for back-up duty on weekends and holidays, or in cases of a Roving Team heating frontline staff absence. Create and maintain an emergency contact list. 6. Inspect each conventional heating plant in assigned neighborhood, a minimum of once per week. Inspect non-conventional heating plants, as assigned by the heating superintendent. Inspect tank rooms quarterly, or as directed by heating superintendent. 7. Verify that fuel oil deliveries are in compliance with NYCHA procedures and are accurately measured. 8. Spot-checks fuel oil deliveries to ensure compliance. 9. Monitor oil supplies during the heating season, and plans deliveries accordingly. 10. Order equipment and materials as needed. 11. Responsible for establishing coverage for the deployment of the heating frontline staff Roving Teams. 12. Ensure that information in Fuel Oil Spills or Seepage, is posted on all maintenance bulletin boards and in all boiler rooms. 13. Monitor and periodically perform boiler water analysis. 14. Ensure resolution of all requests for service and repair of: a. Boilers b. Building Management Systems equipment c. Instantaneous hot water heaters, where installed 15. Ensure appropriate heating standards are maintained. 16. Ensure staff performs weekly test of all dual fuel boilers for four (4) continuous hours, on Tuesdays, if the development has dual fuel operating capabilities. 17. Inform the heating superintendent if boilers are inoperative or if Building Management Systems equipment is offline. Advises when repairs are complete, and service is restored. 18. Ensure heating equipment is disposed of, or transferred, according to the protocols. 19. Maintain copies of all heat and hot water reports. 20. Prepare and files boiler tube, stay bolt and seam welding charts for all boilers. 21. Report any instances of damage to heating plant or Building Management Systems equipment. 22. Perform monthly test of “Building Management Systems Alarm Notifications”. 23. Complete Boiler Room Daily Inspection work order.
