Apprentice Plumber

This position is responsible for assisting a Licensed Plumber in assembling and installing pipe systems, and pipe support as well as any other daily tasks as assigned. This position will learn the skills and codes to be a licensed plumber through lessons both taught on the job and in the classroom. Essential Job Functions: • Works under direct supervision while learning the plumbing trade. • Prepares pipes, tubing, and hangers for plumber with accuracy and precision. • Carries tools and materials for the job to the location of work. • Assembles pipe and tubing sections, which may include soldering, threading, pro-press, or brazing tasks. • Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe to required angle as needed. • Installs other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim. • Tests pipe systems through observation of pressure gauges and fixes leaks that may exist. • Always follows safety policies; immediately reports safety incidents to a Foreman. • As part of the Piping Department, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. • Ensures assigned tools and equipment are properly maintained following preventive maintenance guidelines. • Wears the necessary safety Personal Protective Equipment for each job task and construction site. • Performs other duties as assigned. These duties may include backing up other departments and/or operating forklifts or construction lifts following the appropriate training. Qualifications: • Able to participate in a formal apprenticeship program including participating in formal education during non-working hours. • High school diploma or GED diploma required and/or equivalent education and experience. • Valid driver’s license required and able to travel to NY, NH, and VT. • OSHA 10 certification is a plus, or the ability to complete the certification within 14 days from the hire date. • Works quickly and accurately under pressure and can handle considerable stress. • Able to take constructive criticism and learn from mistakes. • Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced work environment. • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required, typically this position works Monday to Friday 8 hours a day. Physical Demands & Work Environment: • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout shift. • Frequently lifting or moving items up to 75 pounds. • Occasionally required to lift, carry, or hold up to 100 pounds. • Exposed to extreme temperatures when working outside. • Ability to frequently climb up and down and work at height. This includes climbing multiple flights of stairs, ladders (6ft to 14ft), and working from extension ladders. • Some repetitive motion required. • The typical work environment is a construction site setting. SERVICE TECHNICIAN II/III - 4 DAY WEEKS AVAILALBE

REQUIREMENTS • Perform diagnosis and repair of Service Technician II – • Light commercial HVAC systems (RTU, AHU, WSHP, etc) • Variable refrigerant flow & one to one heat pumps and DX systems • Chillers, cooling towers, boilers and related hydronic systems • Basic low voltage control systems • Service Technician III also performs and repairs – • Hospital grade & complex mechanical systems • Industrial systems (steam, pressure controlled systems) • Pneumatics & complex low voltage control systems • Line voltage re-work as needed to support replacement of key HVAC systems and components. • Provide technical support to Service Technician I, Installation Technician I / II and Startup Commissioning roles as needed. • Occasionally executes VMI’s preventative maintenance program. • Use diagnostic tools & testing procedures for HVAC troubleshooting. • Complete daily documentation to support prompt visit summary & client billing. • Provide support to sales to ensure that all VMI service proposals are customized and fully applicable to our clients. • Participate in service department rotational on-call schedule. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN SERVICE TECHNICIAN

The Commercial Kitchen Service Technician is an accomplished individual able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration and HVAC equipment in commercial kitchen settings. This role will install new equipment, perform preventive maintenance of equipment, and excel at providing customer service. The technician is expected to bring industry knowledge to bear and to use all avenues of internal support and research where solutions are not immediately clear. REQUIREMENTS • Perform diagnosis, repair, and install cold and hot commercial kitchen equipment ranging from industrial grade refrigeration and freezer units, compressors, dish machines, disposals, specialized gas ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment. • Replace bearings, pumps, motors, and perform diagnostic testing of coils, valves and connections for leaks, pressure and performance of equipment. • To repair cold or refrigeration equipment, this role needs to: • Understand commercial refrigeration technology and have in-depth familiarity with procedures to work on reach ins freezers, walk ins units and/or ice machines. • Have the ability to replace compressors, TXVs, and similar equipment. • Be responsible to diagnosis equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance. • Service equipment that uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant propane. • To install and repair hot equipment, this individual will: • Work on gas fired, electric powered and steam powered kitchen equipment including convection ovens, combination heat & steam ovens, flat tops, grills, steamers and skillets. • Diagnose issues with steam, electricity, water and gas systems. • Work on electric equipment and control circuits. • Additionally, this role will work on conveyor systems, commercial dishwashers, mixers, slicers. • Demonstrate knowledge of single and three phase power and basic plumbing systems. • Provide technical support to other technicians on an as needed. • Complete daily documentation to support prompt visit summary & client billing. • Participate in service department rotational on-call schedule for the commercial kitchen customers. Qualifications: • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role. • Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with other technicians • Ethical decision-making ability • Certifications, licenses, and registrations include EPA Universal, Natural Gas, and Propane. Type S electrical is preferred.
