Mechanical Designer I (In-Plant)

Summary of Description: Designer I will provide direction and supervision of drafting by preparing sketches and drawing layouts under the direction of an engineer or design specialist. Ability to coordinate field data gathering with little to no supervision. Ability to check design drawings but not responsible for the final checking (this is the responsibility of either the design engineer or the design specialist). Duties: • Computer aided drafting – AutoCAD, CADWorx, or similar 3D software. • Developing plans, sections, details, or 3D models from sketches. • Drawing layout, dimensioning, and extraction of drawings from 3D model. • Field measurements and sketches. • Knowledge of basic discipline symbols, drafting standards, and codes. • Ability to read and understand civil, piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, and project related drawings, • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High School diploma and vocational drafting school with at least six (6) years of experience in discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Licensing Requirements Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement Specific Skills: • Basic Math including geometry and trigonometry. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook with preference on spreadsheets, data base and word processing. • Proficient in AutoCAD. Physical Requirements: • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break. • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted. • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection. • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time. • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors. • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license. • Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

What role you will play in our team This position is a mechanical integrity technical position for fixed equipment in support of petrochemical facility. This position provides technical support to the site with a focus on managing the risk based inspection program, troubleshooting, asset improvement, and technology selection. This position is located at the ExxonMobil Beaumont. What you will do • Ownership of unit risk based inspection program • Work selection recommendations • Planning inspections with appropriate coverage and NDE techniques • Analysis of inspection results and recommended future actions • Perform mechanical analysis of required thickness and fitness for service assessments • Respond to plant operational events • Provide repair and replacement specifications • Analyze site fixed equipment performance • Drive site asset improvement in the areas of Safety, Reliability, Environmental Performance and Equipment Capability and Efficiency in a team setting • Support capital projects and minor modifications in the areas of design consulting, technical quality assurance, and start-up assistance • Communicate and interact daily with Inspection, Maintenance, Process, and Operations team members About you Skills and Qualifications • Required B.S. Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician • 25001633 Linde is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician that will be based at our newly constructed industrial gas facility in Nederland, TX. This position will report to the site Maintenance Manager and will work with stakeholders to achieve plant reliability goals. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. • Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical/millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify mechanical equipment and facilities. • Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments. • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc. • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems. • Specific responsibilities include Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves and the ability to perform equipment alignments. • Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation. • Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems. • Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database. Minimum Requirements: • 5+ years experience in an industrial production environment. • Knowledge of skilled trades, Journeyman Millwright/Machinist experience preferred. • High School education, associated degree preferred. • Ability to interpret equipment drawings required. • Functional computer skills required. • On-call ability required, 24/7 operations. • Willing to support turnarounds at multiple facilities within the Sulphur, West Lake, Port Arthur area.
