About the Position We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in either one of the following Pond offices (Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tempa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA) or as a Remote Employee. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of related MEP design engineering experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will take leadership in the design of mechanical systems (including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and piping) while mentoring junior-level MEP engineering professionals and supporting proposal efforts. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to building systems design. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation. We count on you for: • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for equipment reliability improvement by working with the Operations and Maintenance organizations • Manage all aspects of the plant’s Mechanical Integrity Reliability Program, leading team problem solving groups, implementing maintenance standards (lubrication, vibration, balancing, alignment, precision maintenance, bearing handling, etc.), Predictive/Preventive Maintenance optimization, failure analysis, vibration analysis and all necessary reporting • Uses KPI reports and SAP historical logs to identify areas of the process that are not performing satisfactorily and implement Asset Management • Strategies to correct including proactive maintenance strategies, machine modifications, capital investment needs, changing operating procedures, etc. • Evaluates and implements appropriate preventative maintenance schedules and predictive maintenance technologies • Apply Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure • Analysis (RCFA) to improve plant performance • Assist in the development of training for craftsmen, including: 1. Machinery lubrication best practices 2. Power transmission alignment and maintenance 3. Vibration and infrared analysis 4.
