Mechanical Assistant

Mechanical Assistant Join our team as a Mechanical Assistant in the Property Maintenance department where you will play a key role in keeping our equipment and vehicles in top condition. Your expertise and support will contribute to our commitment to excellence and the goals of One Brays. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and perform basic maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements. • Maintain detailed records of all repair work including parts and labor time. • Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment to aid in vehicle repair. • Keep the workshop and outside areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are cleaned after usage. • Transport vehicles between workshop and service areas for repairs. • Manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repair activities. • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work and addressing vehicle care questions. • Conduct safety checks and inspections to identify any urgent vehicle issues. • Schedule repairs with external vendors as needed. • Follow proper disposal methods for waste oil in compliance with DHEC regulations. • Adhere to safety guidelines and PPE usage while performing repairs. • Embrace the culture of One Brays by promoting shared values and resourcefulness. • Other duties as assigned.
