Mechanical Engineer - II/III

Mechanical Engineer II/III (Minimum 3 years relevant experience) – Clements Engineering Services (CES) – Atlanta, GA CES is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our growing mechanical engineering consulting firm. You will contribute to the design of building HVAC and plumbing along with industrial/manufacturing piping and process projects both locally and in our region. Commercial MEP experience is preferred. Qualifications: Mechanical Engineer II/III The successful candidate will possess relative knowledge as it applies to the application of HVAC equipment, HVAC and plumbing systems design and modeling, industrial piping and ducting systems, and Process Systems design; will evaluate and offer solutions to our customer’s unique problems and prepare designs to accomplish these solutions; will possess experience in the calculations, design, and application of HVAC and plumbing systems; has the ability to make proper system selections with supervision of senior staff; has a history of working with projects such as commercial, industrial, and/or manufacturing. Additional Qualifications include: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an Accredited Institution • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the MEP (Preferred) and/or industrial field • PE or on track to obtain PE (Preferred) • Revit (Preferred), AutoCAD, and/or Autodesk Plant3D expertise • Demonstrates ability to understand the work of other trades • Understanding of the International Building Codes (IMC and IPC) • Proficient in design and calculation software Job Requirements: Mechanical Engineer II/III As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout (utilizing REVIT/CAD); calculations (utilizing appropriate software); and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff. Must take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complex and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Additional responsibilities include: • Represent CES and work in close contact with and effectively interact with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants (including owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.) • Create designs under the direction of the senior staff, develop system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes • Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others • Assist senior staff in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports • The ability to promote teamwork and delegate work effectively is required.
