Mechanical Designer

Mechanical Designer Tasks responsible for: 1. Use Autodesk Inventor with Vault to Design & draw machinery in various configurations of a standardized product line. 2. Create General arrangement drawings from 3D models. 3. Based On Client requirements research, specify requested brands and mechanical requirements to incorporate them into each project. 4. Manage Bills of Materials on drawing assemblies for manufacturing to build the product. Reconcile the final manufacturing BOM and drawings into as-built files. 5. Manage drawings for a new automated product line. Document new prototype changes, revisions, and improvements to the current prototype going forward. Observe and log all shop & field testing so that the product can be improved. 6. Manage all AutoDesk vault interactions, interference fits, fabrication drawings, final assemblies, as well as "as-build" drawings, including revision control. 7. Weekly reconciliation of the Engineering hours spent on individual projects. Requirements: 1. 3+ years with Autodesk Inventor and Vault 2. 1-2 years of experience designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems 3. 1-2 years with piping and pumps in a fluid dynamics environment. 4. Ability to read P& ID diagrams a plus. 5. 3+ years with BOM and associated programs. 6. Experience in Process and Water Treatment industries a plus.
