The Machine Test Engineer 1 has some knowledge of operating a CNC machine, as well as knowledge of complex mechanical systems, and how they interact. They will have a good ability to troubleshoot problems, and provide analysis of machine capability. The Machine Test Engineer will bring a customer perspective to the test process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Develops automated test scripts using the proprietary Haas scripting language designed to cover both validation and verification of a new or modified G-code and machine features • Runs test parts designed to validate functionality of Haas machines. Verifies resulting part matches print. • Researches parameter and setting updates by running tests on machines using new software features. May also include interviewing Programmers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Service, and Applications staff. • Researches and reports all anomalies in bug tracking software. • Releases standard and emergency software versions.
