Description: Precision Machinists set up and operate various machine tools, follow established methods and procedures, meeting critical tolerances necessary to machine an array of parts to meet time and customer requirements. Decision making of service repairs and consulting with other team members is critical to this role with a variety in your day making new parts and service repairs. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate manual lathes and mills to produce precision parts. • Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling and boring. • Adjust machine settings and tools as required to ensure optimal performance. • Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet tolerance specifications. • Assist in the disassemble inspection, repair, reassembly and installation of all types of motors, generators, pumps, etc. • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications. • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized. • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. • Perform other functions as necessary Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field is required. • Great attention to detail and good communication skills. • Excellent time management and flexibility to balance numerous projects and meet competing deadlines. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
