Job Summary HVAC company is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to lead the coordination and execution of mechanical systems on large-scale commercial projects in CT. This role is essential to ensuring that all HVAC systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. Title: HVAC Superintendent Employment Type: Full-Time Primary Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination • Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to develop and maintain detailed MEP schedules. • Review construction documents and shop drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and code requirements. • Participate in pre-construction planning, including constructability reviews and value engineering efforts. Field Supervision • Oversee daily MEP field operations, ensuring work is performed safely and meets quality standards. • Coordinate MEP subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve conflicts. • Monitor installation progress and proactively address delays or issues impacting schedule. Quality Assurance & Compliance • Conduct regular inspections to verify proper installation and adherence to specifications. • Ensure all MEP systems meet local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. • Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, RFIs, and punch lists. Safety Management • Enforce site-specific safety plans and OSHA compliance for all MEP activities. • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks focused on MEP-related risks and mitigation strategies. Commissioning & Turnover • Coordinate system testing, startup, and commissioning with subcontractors and third-party agents. • Support the development of closeout documentation, including O&M manuals and training materials. • Assist in final inspections and ensure successful turnover of MEP systems to the client. Qualifications: • Minimum 3–5 years of experience supervising MEP systems on commercial projects. • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems. • Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project. • S2 License preferred. • OSHA 30 certification preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field is a plus.
