Key Responsibilities • Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance. • Troubleshoot, test, and repair mechanical components, including fans, motors, and duct systems. • Cut openings and install fans, grills, and registers in ceilings or walls. • Test air flow through ducts and make necessary adjustments. • Change filters and discharge air from mechanical equipment. • Plot layouts of HVAC/R system components. • Use hand tools and gauges to install or repair heating and cooling elements. • Accurately measure temperature, humidity, and coolant levels to diagnose system issues. Qualifications • 5+ years of HVAC/R experience preferred (ductwork, HVAC systems, and refrigeration). • High school diploma or GED. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Must pass a background check; drug- and alcohol-free. • EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification (required). • Current Connecticut 'S-2' or 'D-2' class mechanical license (required). • Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and provide outstanding customer service.
