HVAC Technician, Residential

Join BLT’s team of dedicated professionals as a residential HVAC Technician. This position performs various hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our luxury apartment community located in Jersey City, NJ. Duties & Responsibilities of the HVAC Technician: • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems in apartments and common areas • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues promptly and efficiently • Performs preventive maintenance and regular community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager • Recommends the repair or replacement of any interior and exterior areas • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed • Understands and complies with Fair Housing laws and standards Requirements of the Position of HVAC Technician: • Must have 1+ year of HVAC experience • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, trade and/or technical school training a plus • Fire Safety Manager Certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire • Computer knowledge with the ability to generate work orders using a property management software system • Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment • EPA, CPO, HVAC and CFC certifications are a plus • Evening and weekend work may be required Benefits Provided to the Position of HVAC Technician: Compensation package includes: • Competitive pay of $20-23/hr • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Plan • 401k Plan • Life Insurance • Paid Vacation • Paid Sick Leave • Paid Holidays • Tuition Reimbursement • 20% Housing Discount at BLT Properties BLT is an equal opportunity employer.
