Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair various HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. This involves working with refrigerants, ductwork, and control systems. • Perform plumbing tasks such as repairing pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drains, and sewage systems. This includes identifying and resolving leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues. • Execute electrical work, including installing, troubleshooting, and repairing wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting systems. Adherence to electrical codes and safety standards is paramount. • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential problems before they escalate. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using a variety of testing equipment and diagnostic tools. • Respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner, providing clear communication with clients regarding the nature of the problem and proposed solutions. • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and services rendered. • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others. • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. • Keep abreast of industry advancements and new technologies in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical fields. Qualifications • Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. • Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly and accurately. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and supervisors. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Education • Completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades is highly preferred. Work Environment This position may involve working in various environments, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and may occasionally require working evenings, weekends, or on-call.
