HVAC / HVAC-R Technician ​Job Description 1. Technician will mostly be involved in repairing retail ice merchandisers, commonly called “ice boxes”. Carolina Ice Company provides ice merchandisers to customers that use or sell packaged ice products manufactured by the company. Ice Merchandisers are placed throughout the Central and Eastern areas of North Carolina in various types of accounts. 2. Technician will need to have the skills to troubleshoot and repair the refrigeration systems found on typical modern day retail ice merchandisers. 3. Technician should have and maintain an acceptable driving record. 4. Technician should also have the HVAC skills to troubleshoot and repair typical HVAC systems. 5. Technician should have good verbal communication skills and have the ability to communicate to customers in a pleasant and appreciative manner. 6. Technician will be provided a service vehicle plus tools and equipment needed to perform repairs . 7. Technician must be willing to drive and work long hours, including weekends, during the spring and summer 8 .The position reports directly to the General Manager Pay Range: $18-$26 per hour

Join our team and make a significant impact The State Highway Patrol is seeking an HVAC Mechanic II for TSU VIPER East (TSU is the Technical Services Unit and VIPER is the Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders.) The employee in this position performs the full range of technical work associated with the analysis and independent troubleshooting of the more complex construction, modification, maintenance, and repair problems in building heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and their associated air handling and control mechanisms. In addition, employee serves as working supervisor in the construction, modification, or repairs completed by independent contractors. Employee is responsible for approximately 120 VIPER sites around the State. This position supports the VIPER network that carries data, and voice communications across the state for the operational needs of numerous local and county government public safety agencies and others to include but not limited to; the State Highway Patrol, Alcohol Law Enforcement, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Emergency Management, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services of an increasing number of counties. The VIPER network now has over 195,000 end users that depend on it for public safety radio communications. Based on end users, it is the largest trunked radio system in the world. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance.
