Equipment includes self-contained package units, heat pumps, fan coil units, gas packs, compressors, convectors, air handlers, pumps, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, ductwork, exhaust fans, energy recovery units, economizers, dampers, VAV boxes, VFDs, etc. Assists with the troubleshooting and repair of electric control circuits, using electrical test devices. Assists with the replacement of faulty thermostats, wiring, and controls. Assists with calibrating electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems. Conducts preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to include cleaning, lubricating, balancing, and part replacement (i.e. filters and belts). Assists in troubleshooting mechanical equipment to properly diagnose malfunctions. Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties.
