Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting all aspects of facilities HVACR and electrical maintenance and repairs while supporting other maintenance technicians. Position may require work during after-hours and weekends. Essential Functions The duties and responsibilities include - but are not limited to - the following: Prioritize and conduct routine preventive maintenance duties on HVACR and electrical systems as assigned through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Review and request updates to the PM Task List with the Director of Maintenance, when needed. Prioritize, create, and complete non-PM work orders assigned through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Compliance with college-issued mobile device(s) protocol: device(s) is/are required for communication, work completion, and must be fully charged and available for use throughout staff member's entire work schedule. Conduct maintenance/repair of HVACR/electrical systems and related components; assist with video and data cabling, and perform equipment repairs as required, while reporting other observed required maintenance needs to the Director of Maintenance. Provide after-hours and weekend on-call emergency response. Maintain and monitor parts and supply inventories. Report to campus following inclement weather events to clean and remove snow and ice. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred Valid North Carolina Driver's License. HVACR and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or educational setting. Have 2 years HVAC experience in a commercial setting. Refrigeration certification or experience in commercial refrigeration. Ability to utilize computer skills. Experience using mobile device technology including apps, messaging, etc. Ability to participate in safety training and to comprehend and practice the training in the course of duty. Ability to interact, communicate, and maintain effective relations with students, the public, faculty, and staff. Ability to follow guidelines/directives and maintain a neat and professional appearance. This position will be on a on call rotation.
