HVAC Technician

Job Title: HVAC Technician Job Description The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of commercial buildings. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks and repairs to various building systems to maintain optimal functionality. Responsibilities • Conduct preventative maintenance of commercial buildings. • Measure wear and tear and replace belts, hoses, fluids, and filters. • Complete building repairs, including repairing and painting walls, doors, and floors. • Perform plumbing system repairs, such as replacing sinks, piping, valves, and drains. • Replace light fixtures, ceiling tiles, and grids. • Repair and maintain controls, lighting, and electrical distribution systems. • Document preventative maintenance tasks in the CMMS system. • Maintain building lighting, task lighting on furniture systems, parking lot lighting, lighting contactors, emergency lights/exit lights, and 120-volt outlets. • Assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems at the facilities. Essential Skills • Proficiency in facilities maintenance. • Experience in electrical repair. • Skill in painting and facilities maintenance. • Knowledge of HVAC systems. • Plumbing expertise. • Capability in HVAC repair. This role involves visiting schools, museums, and office buildings—20 locations in total within the Corning, NY area. You will work in pairs with another technician. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corning, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
