JOB DESCRIPTION Position: HVAC Sales Specialist (Hybrid/Remote) Reports to: HVAC Sales Manager Yearly Salary: $110K - $160K (Salary plus Earned Commissions) GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the HVAC Sales Manager, the Sales Specialist's role is to develop and close new and replacement HVAC equipment sales opportunities to residential and light commercial customers. This position will require the Sales Specialist to follow the company's sales process and procedures, which include but are not limited to, completing a survey of our customer's home and/or building to determine appropriate HVAC needs, properly size equipment and design system, develop the sales proposal, complete the sale, and perform all applicable customer follow-up responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - including but not limited to: • Provide knowledge and consultation to prospective and existing customers to identify equipment, parts and service needs and present integrated HVAC system solutions for those needs. • Accurately survey equipment, mechanical systems, and job conditions. • Create and present solution-oriented proposals in a timely manner that clearly define the options developed and answer questions/objections in a knowledgeable and effective manner. All quotes will be priced and bid according to the company's pricing plan and structure as directed by management. • Work to successfully close new and existing proposals by monitoring progress, communicating with potential customers, and following through on any additional needs or adjustments. • Serve as a liaison for our customers and a resource to our installation teams & Sales Coordinators by providing necessary information accurately and promptly. This includes proposals and pricing, installation surveys/pictures, job forms, rebate/warranty information, visiting job sites, and other ongoing communication to complete the project. • Initiate required action for response to customer requests for change orders, including maintaining accuracy of customer information files and communicate updates to appropriate personnel. • Conduct post sales follow up to ensure the job has been completed correctly, we have met expectations, and provided an excellent customer experience. This includes visiting jobs sites for post installation walk throughs, adjustments, any additional customer requests or service needs. • Collaborate with management, sales coordinators, service technicians, and installers to ensure we are delivering an excellent customer experience. • Meet or exceed all Key Performance Indicators including sales goals/quotas, average ticket amount, closing ratio, self-generated revenue, gross profit margin, and customer follow up. RESPONSIBILITIES - including but not limited to: • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing, new, or potential sales customers. • Continuously work to improve and update the content of sales presentations. • Communicate updates daily with Sales Coordinator, Service and Installation Managers, and Sales Manager. • Meet and exceed budgeted monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. • Recommend changes in products, services, and sales processes by evaluating individual results and competitive developments. • Resolve customer concerns by investigating issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management. • Maintain professional sales and technical knowledge by attending company meetings and assigned sales, vendor and manufacturer trainings. • Establish and cultivate personal networks by attending industry related meetings/conventions and participating in professional business and networking organizations.
