Job Title: Residential Service/Install Electrician text 6 3 0 6 2 5 9 1 0 4 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Electrical department. This role focuses on residential service upgrades, diagnostics, and generator installations, with occasional light commercial work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Ideal experience is 3+ years of recent residential experience Responsibilities • Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting for residential systems. • Install and upgrade electrical panels, wiring, and circuits according to code. • Install and maintain backup generators and related systems. • Ensure compliance with NEC and local electrical codes during all installations. • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients. • Provide recommendations for energy efficiency and system improvements. Salary/Pay Plans The salary listed is Step 1 in a structured pay plan. At 6 months of employment with the District, the salary will increase to Step 2: $91,062.92. At 18 months, the salary will increase to Step 3: $96,924.10. There are 9 total steps for TAM 14 of the pay plan (view full pay plan). These increases are based on service time in the job classification and require a 'Meets Standard' performance rating. Original Entrance - Introduction This examination is open to all candidates, both internal and external, who meet the minimum requirements. Prior to October 31, 2006, assessment by the Engineering Credentials Evaluation International (ECEI) was deemed qualifying. The NCEES assessment and any additional coursework used to correct deficiencies must be completed by the anticipation date. Examination: The examination will consist of a Training and Experience evaluation (T&E) weighted 100%. Examination Process: All applicants will be advised by email if they have been admitted to the examination process.
