The University of Virginia’s Facilities Management (FM) is seeking an Electrician to join the Building Automation Services (BAS) group. BAS supports the University’s academic, research, and healthcare missions by maintaining reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible building operations. The BAS Electrician plays a key role in supporting the University’s automation and energy management infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and control systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building automation equipment across Academic and Health System facilities. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: At least four years of experience in the electrical trade; experience with low-voltage and control wiring is strongly preferred. Licensure: Journeyman or higher electrical license and a valid driver’s license required. Selected candidates must successfully complete all required background checks prior to the first day of employment. Compensation: The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $25 - $30/hour ($52,000 - $62,400 Annually), commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with UVA benefits.
