POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, performing, and coordinating all aspects of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems and service work in both new and remodeled facilities. This role involves overseeing daily activities for a crew of workers to ensure productivity and adherence to schedules. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Production: • Interpret specifications and read blueprints. • Assist with crew layout planning. • Preplan daily activities to optimize crew productivity and meet job schedules. • Monitor quality control of work performed by crew members. • Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials. • Complete all project-related reports, including Daily Reports, Safety Reports, ESRs, and Inspection Reports. • Coordinate equipment needs; ensure qualified operators and prompt maintenance and repairs. • Support the jobsite Superintendent in coordinating project activities. • Perform related trade work as required. • Travel to various job sites on short notice. • Implement improved production methods and enhance best practices. • Other duties as assigned. Quality: • Monitor crew installations for quality assurance. • Inspect work areas to ensure quality standards are met. • Proactively seek ways to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Safety: • Promote compliance with all company safety policies and procedures. • Train and instruct crew members in safe work practices. • Audit safety practices and ensure proper use of PPE. SUPERVISORY: • Assist in hiring, training, and appraising the work performance of crew members. • Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers. • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback. • Manage and mentor new workers. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • NCCER Certification/License preferred. • At least 1 year of experience as an electrical foreman. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Strong understanding of health and safety programs and project-specific regulations. • Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors. • Demonstrate safe behavior as a personal example. • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals. • Basic math skills for weight measurement and volume calculations. • Ability to follow detailed instructions in written or oral form. • Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards. • Build maintain relationships with team members and supervisors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and conditions. • Physical fitness to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds regularly. • Stamina to perform tasks continuously for long periods. • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions. • Ability to wear personal protective equipment at all times. • Mobility to navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven work areas. • Capability to work at heights following strict safety protocols. • Strong visual and auditory capabilities, with or without correction. HOURS: This is a full-time position typically requiring 50 hours of work per week, subject to project requirements. TRAVEL: Travel may be required up to 90%. This position requires on-site presence at project locations, along with intermittent travel to the employee's residence.
