Have a minimum of 1 year of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment. Hold or be able to obtain a State of Oregon Electrical license (LMPJ) within 6 months of hire, with licensing fees paid by Weyerhaeuser. Have at least 2 years of millwright experience. Demonstrate the ability to program, repair, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control units (PLCs) and Optimization Control Systems. Have strong troubleshooting skills for 480v and low voltage electrical systems, both AC and DC. Be able to troubleshoot, set up, and program variable speed drives. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Exhibit logical problem-solving abilities and remain composed in challenging situations. Show excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Be willing to cross-train in additional technical areas to enhance skill sets. Have experience working with a computerized maintenance system for managing processes, stores, and work orders. Possess strong teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. Be a dedicated, self-motivated team member capable of working independently. Be available to work shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as needed. Desired Qualifications: Hands-on experience with instrumentation, electronics, lubrication, hydraulics, power transmission, mechanics, steam, welding, and pneumatics. Working knowledge of NEC. Familiarity with general electrical systems such as motor starters, lighting circuits, and power distribution equipment. Experience with Allen Bradley PLC5 and/or Control Logix. Proficient with hand and power tools. Previous experience in wood products or engineered wood products is a plus.
