Have a minimum of 1 year of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment. Hold or be able to obtain a State of Oregon Electrical license (LMPJ) within 6 months of hire, with licensing fees paid by Weyerhaeuser. Have at least 2 years of millwright experience. Demonstrate the ability to program, repair, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control units (PLCs) and Optimization Control Systems. Have strong troubleshooting skills for 480v and low voltage electrical systems, both AC and DC. Be able to troubleshoot, set up, and program variable speed drives. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Exhibit logical problem-solving abilities and remain composed in challenging situations. Show excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Be willing to cross-train in additional technical areas to enhance skill sets. SHIFT ORE - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Oregon) A BRIEF OVERVIEW Under direction, the Journeyman Electrician is responsible for trouble shooting and repairing electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment per electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and/or other specifications. The Journeyman Electrician will maintain, repair, and replace as necessary electrical wiring, equipment, and electrical products.
