Responsibilities This position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing different kinds of electrical systems. Determines the layouts and testing of electrical patterns. • Reads blueprints, runs conduit, and wires devices. • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and code specifications for determining wiring layouts. • Performs upgrades or preventive maintenance to electrical control systems. • Runs tests, isolates problems, replaces damaged sections of wiring, and layout circuits. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • A High School Diploma is required; prefer some trade or technical school classes. • 3+ years’ work experience as an electrician apprentice. • Electrician apprenticeship. • License as a Journeyman or Electrician to meet state requirements. • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade. • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. • Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low-voltage electric systems. • Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial construction industry-related products and tools. • Skill in both verbal and written communication. Journeyman Electrician

Pay: $37.43 $10,000 Signing Bonus/ Vacation Credit for Experience/ Tool Allowance / 12 hours shifts / 3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off POSITION SUMMARY: The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with other Maintenance staff, Lead Electrician and Contractors. Works closely with production to continually improve safety and equipment productivity and performance. Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems in the assigned facility. MAJOR TASKS: Work under the supervision of Lead Electrician and Maintenance Manager. Ensure the proper functionality of all electrical equipment in the facility. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Appropriate use and handling of electrical testing and repair equipment. Maintain electrical parts inventories records and place orders for spare parts and equipment. Retain and update electrical repair and maintenance log. Read electrical prints. Schedule routine checks for spotting any malfunctions, following all safety norms and standard operating procedures of working. Attending job training activities. Coordinating work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments. Experience in reading, understanding and troubleshooting complex PLC programs. Completing all tasks and general duties as assigned. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Good computer skills, PLC software, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook. Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units and PLC’s. Passed physical exam after job offer. Passed pre-employment criminal background and drug screening. Completed certified apprenticeship program as Electrician. (Journey Level) Pass basic competency exam as administered by employer. Successful candidates must: hold a current Oregon general or manufacturing plant electrical license; have 2-5 years experience including PLC-preferably in a wood products or manufacturing setting; be able to work shift work and weekends; have a strong commitment to safety excellence, work well in a team environment. The successful candidate will perform low-voltage and electrical installations for new or extend existing power circuits, and assist with in-shop repairs of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.
