Electrical Maintenance Tech

The responsibilities of this job consist of troubleshooting electrical/electronic components throughout the plant. Replaces worn or unserviceable equipment. Wire new or existing equipment. This associate works closely with company engineers to install new processes. Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnose electrical problems. An associate must be able to order and keep records and track of electronic components used in the department. The associate is accountable to the Department Superintendent for the operation and repair of all assigned equipment. The performance standard of this job is to minimize downtime on assigned machinery and to ensure maximum plant production. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Troubleshooting of all electrical/electronic equipment throughout the plant. • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance. • Troubleshoot equipment controlled by printed circuitry. • Build new electrical control panels. • Assist other associates in their duties. • Train associates on new equipment. • Must follow safety rules prescribed by the plant. • Assist other personnel in the performance of their duties. • Assist Plant Engineer in special projects. • Must be able to read at a 12th-grade or above reading level to perform assigned duties by company standards. • Must be able to meet plant work schedules and attendance requirements as specified in company policies. • Must be able to wear respirator/dust mask, hearing protection, and other required protective pieces of equipment. JOB LOCATION: Plant Shop and throughout the entire physical plant. EQUIPMENT: Digital multimeter - with amp probe, analog multimeter, voltage tester, meter, logic probe, all types of hand tools, pliers, wire cutter, tape, screwdrivers, crimpers, wire strippers, wrenches, equipment lockouts, and other small hand tools. 1 of 2 Maintenance Electrician Master (cont.) CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE: Safe repair of equipment, proper lifting/handling techniques. Mechanical understanding of machinery (purpose, function, problems, repair), diagnostic / troubleshooting ability. Must be able to work with other associates to keep machinery in production. Reading done while on the job, tape measures, gauges, drill and tap sizes, die sizes, electrical blueprints, electrical testing equipment readings, electrical parts data, machine manuals, preventive maintenance computer printouts. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Miscellaneous duties for resource manager, other staff associates, and hourly associates. Electrical Technician (Nights)

Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering for the design and development of electrical equipment and systems including concept development, specification of electrical loads, hardware specification, control sequence development and controller programming. Projects may range from small systems to complex plant process designs depending upon level. Creates engineering drawings and technical documents. Resolves technical conflicts. Develops and adheres to projects schedules and budgets. Verifies equipment performance against design specifications. Higher levels may have responsibility for managing activities of other Engineers and/or technicians. Responsibilities: 1. Design - Dependent upon level will develop and design electrical components, equipment, facilities and systems for the manufacturing processes using engineering principles and practices. Specifies electrical hardware. Designs hardware layouts. Programs PLC and DCS control equipment and systems for new process uses in conjunction with more experienced engineers. Performs value analysis engineering. Develop improvements resulting in the elimination of downtime. Ensures that equipment and system designs are verified against specifications. Higher levels are responsible for reviewing, advising and approving designs and project plans prepared by less experienced engineers. In addition, higher levels will utilize advanced techniques and extension of advanced theories, precepts, and practices in electrical engineering and related sciences and disciplines. 2. Maintenance - Analyzes electrical system design and operation and develops preventive maintenance programs. Writes maintenance procedures for electrical systems/equipment to ensure maximum service life and utilization. 3. Project Management - Dependent upon level may guide or lead project activities to ensure that design, fabrication, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional and technical specifications. Ensures that all electrical equipment and systems comply with OSHA standards, government regulations and Fujifilm specifications. Supports validation of new and revised processes. Adheres to project schedules and budgets. Higher levels will carry out complex and novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures resulting in the development of new or refined equipment, materials, processes, and products. Higher levels will also develop, manage, and adhere to project schedules, budgets and ensure that process requirements are met and validated. 4. Continuous Improvement - Dependent upon level may support or initiate continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment including uptime improvement, yield improvement and maintenance expense reduction. Participates in and leads troubleshooting and problem-solving activities. Performs root cause analysis and develops permanent countermeasures. 5. Leadership - Advises and supports maintenance technicians in the execution of maintenance activities. Higher levels will assign tasks, coach, mentor, and review technicians and Engineers. They may also identify high performers and recommend development activities to the area Manager. They will act as a technical leader and lead cross functional teams for improvement projects, conduct on-the-job training, and facilitate teams to accomplish factory goals and objectives. 6. Effectively work with others within the team to achieve team goals. Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Performs all additional duties as assigned by leader. Specific skills, knowledge and abilities: • Strong working knowledge in the following computer programs and systems: Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems or Line Drive Systems • Strong working knowledge in the following areas: PLC, DCS, Line Drive System, power distribution, electronics, electro-magnetic; computer systems and programming, digital logic, and industrial instrumentation • Proficiency in word processor and spreadsheet applications. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across various disciplines.
