Job Summary The Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. The Electrician's primary responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. They will interpret blueprints and schematics, adhere to local and national electrical codes, and troubleshoot electrical issues to identify and implement solutions that exceed customer expectations. • This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. The salary range above is an estimate of total annual compensation. Reports To: Electrical Manager Duties & Responsibilities • Safely install electrical systems, wiring, and equipment based on technical diagrams/schematics and blueprints. This includes outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers. • Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality. This includes inspecting electrical components, identifying faults, and repairing or replacing defective parts. • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely manner. This may involve troubleshooting circuits, testing electrical systems with tools and equipment, and replacing faulty components. • Adhere to local and national electrical codes and regulations to ensure installations and repairs meet safety standards. Stay updated with industry standards and best practices. • Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Complete paperwork and reports as required by employers or regulatory agencies. • Effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members to discuss project requirements, provide updates, and coordinate work activities. • Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of electrical hazards. Work Environment & Conditions • Field environment including interior and exterior of customers' residential properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur. Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required. • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history. • Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check. Work Schedule • Generally, Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 4PM. Additional evening, night, and weekend hours may be required as necessary during emergencies or to meet customer needs.
