The Journeyperson Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical installations are completed safely and efficiently on construction sites. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. • Work with programmable logic controllers to troubleshoot and optimize system performance. • Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to execute electrical work accurately. • Conduct renovations involving electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NEC standards. • Perform testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure system integrity. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations at all times. Experience • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is essential. • Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus. • Strong understanding of high voltage installations and safety practices related to electrical work. • Experience in construction site environments is required, along with the ability to navigate various job site conditions. • Background in frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks is beneficial for versatility on the job. • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
