Responsibilities • Mentor and support the development of junior superintendents, general foremen, foremen, and field engineers • Review and approve labor rates for Foremen, journeymen, and laborers to ensure fair compensation and cost control as well as adherence to the established budget • Assist project management with contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication) • Maintain good relations with both our client and staff on site • Initiate and attend meetings with the client, engineer, and key project staff for problem resolution and planning • Provide input for monthly progress updates, job cost updates and • Assist project management in the review, approval and negotiation of change orders • Assist in the development and implementation of project completion and turnover • Maintain detailed daily records to facilitate accurate documentation and reporting. • Ensure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reports • Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen. Qualifications • 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity. • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures and software programs. • Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise. • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration. Other Requirements: • Hands on electrical installation experience as a journeyman electrician on power generation or industrial installation.
