At this time, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our AmerCable Maintenance Team. This team is committed to the maintenance of the facilities and operations. Responsibilities: • Comply with all safety procedures and regulations; Identify and participate in resolution of workplace hazards; Support an interdependency safety culture. • Support and seek opportunities to reduce environmental impacts through waste reductions, recycling and reduction of pollution of air, water, soil and resources. • Responsible for the maintenance of all plant and office electrical systems • Responsible for the installation and support of electrical control systems • Support other Plant Engineering department activities • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and other electrical components • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors (AC & DC), generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices • Conduct preventative maintenance and keep maintenance records • May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices • Must be able to install wiring and circuits in compliance with IAW National Electrical Code • Maintain both low pressure (125 PSI) and high pressure (250 PSI) boilers as sole operator on an off-shift rotation • Perform other duties as assigned • Adheres to all AmerCable’s Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices • Follows and abides by Mattr Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards Preferred skills and qualifications: • Must have two (2) years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance, or related technical education. • Must have a journeyman’s electrician license or industrial electrician license • Must be able to read and use blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Must be able to troubleshoot relay logic and AC & DC motors and drives and other electrical componentry • Must be able to obtain state boiler license • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, both verbally and is writing, is required. • Good reading comprehension is required. • Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, is required. • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. • Required to work at heights above ground level. • Must be able to operate a forklift. • Must be able to physically move material, possibly up to 50 lbs. Electrical Control Systems Engineer The role of Electrical Control Systems Engineer is crucial in the success of our client's operations. As an Electrical Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining electrical control systems across various plant sites. • Develop and implement automation and control systems for plant sites, incorporating electrical, PLC, DCS, pneumatic circuits, networking and other components associated with automated chemical processes. • Ensure control systems comply with regulatory requirements, including SIL/LOPA assessments. • Maintain and create instrument and electrical drawings for control systems, comprising motor elementaries and instrument loop sheets. • Collaborate with the maintenance team on assigned work, breakdowns and emergency work orders. • Manage PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and maintain an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings. • Provide training and mentoring to technicians and technical staff members on control system strategies and installations. • Participate in developing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, both internally and with external vendors.
