Journeyman Electrician

Reports to: Service Manager Department: Electrical Labor 40 Job Type: Full-time Essential Skills: • Working safely is our company’s number one business objective. It will be a condition of employment that all employees are expected to work safely and contribute to the safety of others. • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems • Troubleshoot motor and control systems • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems • Install generators and transfer switches • Adhere to all quality and safety codes • Work in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Requirements • This is a “safety sensitive” position • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. • Regular attendance is required. • Must be able to operate and maneuver company vehicles safely and constantly, follow relevant rules and regulations regarding vehicle operation, and avoid, where possible and practical, motor vehicle accidents. • Regular Attendance is an essential function of this job. Qualifications/Experience: • Must possess a Commercial Journeyman License to be considered. • Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. • Must be detail-oriented and organized. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. • Requires limited on call responsibilities. Benefits Include: • Competitive pay. • Here at ASC, each pay period for payroll is the duration of 1 week. It begins on Wednesday and goes through the following Tuesday. All hourly positions here at ASC will be eligible for overtime, which includes any hours worked over 40 hours within the same weekly pay period. Overtime also includes any time worked during a holiday or weekends (beginning at 12:00 AM Saturday), regardless of the number of hours worked during a weekly pay period. • ASC pays a flat $500.00 toward the employee’s Health Insurance. • ASC pays a flat $30.00 toward the employee’s Dental Insurance. • Basic Life Insurance paid 100% by employer. • Short-Term Disability paid 100% by employer. • Additional Elective Benefits Available - Including Dental, Vision, LTD, Cancer, Accident, and Life Insurance. • Nine paid holidays plus PTO. • 401(k) retirement plan that is vested immediately. • Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Electrician/Maintenance Technician (Night Shift 6pm-6am)

The Maintenance Technician executes the scheduled and day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure the plant meets department and overall plant goals of safety and quality. Performs all work in a manner that complies with all federal, state, local, SQF, company rules and regulations and with optimum regard for plant safety and Good Manufacturing Practices. Essential Job Functions • Troubleshoots repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps. • Troubleshoots, repairs or replaces control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed • Troubleshoots repairs or replaces oven components such as burners, valves, bearings, scrapers, etc. • Troubleshoots repairs or replaces pneumatic and basic electrical power components. • Troubleshoots repairs or replaces PLC based control systems. • Preforms work order repairs, inspections and adjustments as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. • Sets up and operates metal working equipment such as hand tools, welders, drill press, or grinders. • Monitors and assists outside contractors on/outside the premises. • Works closely with production, refrigeration and warehouse personnel to effectively resolve and eliminate plant and process problems. • Communicates daily all pertinent information to department management. • Works in conjunction with maintenance and refrigeration technicians to cross train on system maintenance to obtain adequate coverage across all shifts. • Assists management in developing standard operating procedures, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance, relating to process and packaging equipment. • Interprets and understands plans and specifications, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals for applicable system. • Maintains plant boiler and hot water systems. • Participates in plant safety, SQF, health and environmental programs. • Perform all other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned Education/Training Required: • High School diploma Preferred: • Technical College/PLC Certification Course • Electrical/mechanical experience, preferably within the industry.
