Maintenance Technician Electrician (2nd Shift)

Maintenance Technician Electrician - 2nd Shift We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician Electrician during second shift to join our team. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot failures of machines, systems and electrical and electronic circuits and equipment. • Dismantle, transport, assemble, and re-align relocated and new equipment and machines. • Move and organize materials, equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc… • Assist OEM representatives in the installation of new equipment. • Perform periodic inspection and maintenance on cranes, hoists, cables, hooks, and chains. Replace parts as necessary. • Perform simple rigging operations and occasional heavy or complex rigging. • Operate forklifts, cranes, and manlifts as necessary. • Climb ladders and work at height. • Collect and properly dispose of waste materials such as wood, cardboard, oils and coolants. • Operate and maintain portable and shop air compressors. • Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, adjust, and calibrate electrical and electronic equipment. • Dismantle, inspect, adjust, repair or replace faulty parts on electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, starters, VFDs, controllers, relays, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, brakes, panel boards, resistance banks, etc… • Reassemble, test, and adjust equipment to obtain proper operating characteristics. • Routinely work on AC and DC circuits from <50V to 480V. • Operate threading and bending equipment to perform conduit work. • Assemble, construct, and install electrical equipment and circuits. • Maintain good housekeeping by cleaning and organizing work areas. • Follow safe working practices. • Perform other tasks and duties that may be assigned by supervisor. Qualifications and Skills: • HS diploma or GED required • Journeyman certificate, Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and industrial experience is preferred • Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wiring specifications and codes, properties of materials, principles of operation, and application of equipment. • Able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings. • Familiarity with NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E. • Able to use basic precision measuring tools such as ruler, micrometer, calipers, levels, etc… • Use basic hand and power tools. • Use electrical/electronic measuring and diagnostic equipment such as, multimeter, megger, oscilloscope, etc… • Able to safely drive and operate industrial forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists, and various manlifts.
