MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE - ELECTRICIAN – Application Process Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED. Electrical Journeyman status or equivalent, or have at least 4 years of applicable experience or military equivalent. The following information is relative to Production and Maintenance employment at Corning Incorporated in the Corning, New York Valley: The employment process for all Production and Maintenance positions at Corning Incorporated in the Corning Valley begins once you attach your resume and submit a completed application. The next step in the process will be an orientation at a local venue to be determined. The orientation will be followed by a series of tests and interviews conducted by Corning Incorporated employees. Upon successful completion of all of the above, the next step will be background checks and a medical exam, to include a physical assessment and a drug test. Qualified candidates are included in a pool for Maintenance Associate - Electrical positions and will be called upon as openings occur in our businesses. Transportation – Must supply own transportation; plants are as far as 15 miles apart. Work Hours – Varies by plant; probably will be rotating shifts on a weekly basis. Working holidays and weekends are a must. Our new employees will go through a 90 day probationary period. Production and Maintenance employees are represented by USW Local 1000. Primary Responsibilities: · Uses programming software to troubleshoot issues on PLCs, Robots, HMIs, using RSLogix 500/5000, Fanuc Robotics teach pendant, etc. · Makes updates and changes to plant documentation using AutoCAD Mechanical / Electrical · Performs troubleshooting work on energized lines, circuits and connections with a wide range of voltages including 110V, 220V and 440V.
