Scope of Position Our client is hiring a Maintenance Electrician position in Bradford, PA. This opening is for the night shift, following a 12-hour rotating schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. They are responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing systems using electrical, mechanical, and processing skills. This role includes both preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and facility systems. Responsibilities • Adhere to and enforce all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies and procedures. • Monitor and maintain product quality, adjusting manufacturing processes as needed to ensure product integrity. • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine equipment layout and installation requirements. • Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components. • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, meters, regulators, and reactors. • Service and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems. • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical/electronic control systems and related devices. • Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records. • Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation as required. • Provide assistance and training to production employees on equipment operation and maintenance. • Occasional travel may be required. Qualifications • An associate degree in an electrical-related field or an industrial electrical certification from an accredited institution is required. • Minimum of five years of industrial maintenance electrician experience preferred. See More Details >>PRIMARY DUTIES: • Set – up, check, diagnose, and correct operational and experimental electrical control systems, PLC systems, electrical equipment and machinery using instructions, established guidelines, specifications, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. • Develop and service programs on various Program Logic Control (PLC) and PC for integrated applications in operational and experimental equipment. • Set-up, check, support, correct and program integrated machine vision systems / flow measurement operation systems and measuring equipment. • Develop specifications and recommend electrical / electronic components and equipment. Write functional specifications for various machine control hardware and software. • Identify and order parts and materials required for job completion. • Set-up, support, and program the application of robotics in the operations group. • Analyze, interpret, and develop wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, etc. • Use a variety of test instruments such as ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc. • Provide instruction and training to peers and various disciplines within the organization. • Apply experience and judgment for the planning and accomplishment of goals / assignments. • Investigate and make recommendations related to electrical controls and machine functions for continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts. • Work with various disciplines within the organization and production personnel / supervisors to accomplish identified goals and objectives. • Perform preventative maintenance of electrical equipment as required. • Maintain records and documentation for machine / equipment development and history. • Communicate verbally and through written reports, spreadsheets, charts, etc. required information, as required. • Perform any other duties, related in nature, which may be assigned.
