Industrial Electrician & Programmer

Industrial Maintenance Programmer/Electrician Bradford Forest LLC, a leading hardwood lumber and dimension parts manufacturing company situated in the rolling hills of Northwestern Pennsylvania, is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Programmer/Electrician for our Bradford, Pennsylvania location. The Industrial Programmer/Maintenance Electrician plays a critical role in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in order to keep machines operating efficiently. Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years’ industrial maintenance mechanic/electrical experience required. • Two-year associates electrical/electronics degree, or similar training in an accredited apprentice program preferred. • Requires full knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), their function, set-up and programming. • Must be capable of making changes to control systems when necessary. • Must have excellent analytical and methodical problem solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills. • Must be proficient using all electrical measuring equipment. • Must be capable of working from schematics, diagrams, and electrical drawings for controls analysis. • Must have working knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures. • Must be able to meet the physical requirements including walking, bending, crawling, reaching, stooping, and twisting. • Must be able to withstand a production environment with exposure to dust, fumes and varying high/low temperatures. • Ability to multi-task, organize multiple assignments and establish priorities • Must be able to work in a team environment. Job Responsibilities • Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communications software. • Perform preventative maintenance and industrial electrician duties in order to ensure that all machinery is functioning at full capacity at all times; applies all applicable safety precautions and performs duties in an efficient and profitable manner that promotes safety and superior employee relations. • Installs, monitors, tests, repairs and replaces electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments. • Troubleshoots and repairs distribution system malfunctions. • Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts. • Interprets blueprints, schematics, diagrams, works from sketches or verbal instructions. • Adheres to all safety standards and performs duties in compliance with company safety policies and procedures, and all regulations. Travel Requirements • This role requires frequent travel to Emporium, PA as needed. Electrical Mechanical Technician - 2

PRIMARY DUTIES: • Set – up, check, diagnose, and correct operational and experimental electrical control systems, PLC systems, electrical equipment and machinery using instructions, established guidelines, specifications, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. • Develop and service programs on various Program Logic Control (PLC) and PC for integrated applications in operational and experimental equipment. • Set-up, check, support, correct and program integrated machine vision systems / flow measurement operation systems and measuring equipment. • Develop specifications and recommend electrical / electronic components and equipment. Write functional specifications for various machine control hardware and software. • Identify and order parts and materials required for job completion. • Set-up, support, and program the application of robotics in the operations group. • Analyze, interpret, and develop wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, etc. • Use a variety of test instruments such as ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc. • Provide instruction and training to peers and various disciplines within the organization. • Apply experience and judgment for the planning and accomplishment of goals / assignments. • Investigate and make recommendations related to electrical controls and machine functions for continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts. • Work with various disciplines within the organization and production personnel / supervisors to accomplish identified goals and objectives. • Perform preventative maintenance of electrical equipment as required. • Maintain records and documentation for machine / equipment development and history. • Communicate verbally and through written reports, spreadsheets, charts, etc. required information, as required. • Perform any other duties, related in nature, which may be assigned.
