ELECTRICIAN/MAINTENANCE

The City of Johnstown is accepting applications for the position of Electrician/Maintenance. This position requires a working knowledge Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry and General Maintenance. It also requires a basic electrician certificate. This is a 40 hour per week position, applicant must be able to work 2nd and 3rdshift and/or evenings and weekends when necessary. Available for overtime for emergencies, and special events as needed. Applicant must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, a valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A with Tanker Endorsement, applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle operated, a good driving record upon application and pass a required drug screening. Also, must have the ability to obtain a class A CDL within 90 days. Applications are available in the Human Resources office, room 105 City Hall, 401 Main Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 during regular business hours, and must be returned to the Human Resources office by 4:00 pm Friday December 12, 2025. Electrical Technician - Industrial

Our client in Johnstown is searching for an Electrical Technician at their industrial facility. Job Description: - Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems - Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems - Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks - Some recordkeeping involved - Preventative maintenance - Operation and maintenance of overhead crane (AC & DC) - Transformer inspections - Infrared panel testing - PLC and VFD drive troubleshooting, programming & updating - 5 or more years of hands-on electrical experience - Ability to troubleshoot power wiring and controls - Need to be able to run rigid conduit and wiring - Knowledge of 13.8 KV, 110v/220v, 480v, 2300v, 25HZ and working knowledge of 250 DC - Must know 13.8 KV to 120 VAC breaker maintenance and upgrade - Electrical preventative maintenance knowledge - Understanding of pre-tool inspection and site clean-up post completion - Must be able to read blueprints/schematics
