Electrician

One of our clients, an established electrical contractor based in Genesee County, is looking for an Electrical Foreman to join the team. Job description: Our goal is to add people to our team that want to invest long term in their careers and themselves. Electrician Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical work • Have familiarity and understanding of NEC electrical code. • Have OSHA 10 training completed • Ability to stay on task and perform installations efficiently • Able to properly terminate all types of electrical equipment • Ability to plan, measure, cut, bend, thread, construct and install electrical conduit • Ability to work on or construct distribution systems • Ability to troubleshoot single and 3 phase electrical problems • Understanding of testing and measurement of electrical systems • Understanding of and ability to design/install control systems wiring a plus • Understanding of VFDs, ECMs, PLCs a plus • Excellent workmanship and craftsmanship • Strong understanding of electrical parts and equipment for this work • Strong desire to provide excellent customer service Any potential member of our team must be capable of: • Install, repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on lighting systems, electrical systems and apparatus, panel boards, outdoor lighting, construction projects, etc. • Work on residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial job sites • Work in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year: heat, cold, rain and snow • Must be able to read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints and written instructions • Be accountable for all equipment, materials and tools on the work vehicle and job site • Maintain clean and orderly work sites • Work 40-hour work week with occasional overtime/after hours as needed • Must have good verbal and written communication skills • Must prioritize safety • Attend educational and training classes when required • High standard of integrity and professionalism • Organizational skills with attention to detail and timely follow through • Must be self-directed and capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision • Have and maintain a current, valid and in good standing Driver’s License Compensation & Benefits: • $22-32 / hr., depending on experience and skill level • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Retirement with company match • Paid time off and holidays

Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage crews of electricians and apprentices on active job sites • Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure work is executed accurately and safely • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues • Plan, schedule, and oversee the daily work activities of the electrical team • Perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems including conduit, wire pulling, panels, lighting, and control systems • Monitor work for code compliance, quality, and safety standards • Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians to support skill development and workforce growth • Track and report job progress, material usage, and labor hours • Enforce company policies and maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment • Identify and address potential project risks and recommend solutions to keep the job on track Qualifications: • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role • Valid journeyman or master electrician license in Rochester area a plus • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents • Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of successfully managing teams • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Proficient in using construction technology (e.g., tablets, field software, scheduling tools) • Holds everyone, but especially oneself accountable for their actions and attitudes Preferred Qualifications • Experience with commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential projects • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training Compensation & Benefits: • $34-45 / hr., depending on experience and skill level • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Retirement with company match • Paid time off and holidays • Vehicle allowance • Phone allowance
